Comments:
Rodman's father (Philander) abandoned him nd his mother when he was just a few years old. He served in the Vietnam war as a member of a helicopter crew and eventually stayed in Angeles City in the Philippines, just outside Clark Airbase where he opened several girly bars and strip clubs. His father - coincidentally named Philander - bragged that he sired close to 40 children, mostly from his own bar girls. Old time basketball and NBA fans in the Philippines would probably know this. Besides, it's in Dennis' book "Bad As I Wanna Be".
