Mirotic vs Shengelia un clinic: Bologna in finale, Milano spiega

Immagine

The Indiana Pacers stole Game 1 from the Oklahoma City Thunder, 111-110, on Tyrese Haliburton’s thrilling game-winning jumper with 0.3 seconds left. For the Pacers, it was yet another comeback victory from a deficit of at least 15 points, their fifth of the 2025 postseason. Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led all players with 38 points on 14of-30 shooting, while Indiana forward Pascal Siakam paced his team with 19 points and 10 rebounds. The Pacers had six players, including all five starters, reach double-figures in scoring. OKC controls every second except last vs. Pacers in Game 1 collapse 7 Jun 2025 - The Oklahoman Joel Lorenzi The Oklahoman - USA TODAY NETWORK Chet Holmgren neared a record for how long humans can clench their jaw. For 8:15, so few words escaped his grinding teeth.Thunder guards Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (2), Alex Caruso (9) and Luguentz Dort (5) walk off the court after the Pacers took the lead in the fourth quarter during Game 1 of the NBA Finals on June 5 at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. Indiana won 111-110. PHO He settled into his postgame seat, bathing in a stunning 111-110 Game 1 defeat, with flames in his eyes and the visage of a man who’s seen gore. If looks could kill, his would do so serially. He chewed on the bitter end of the paradox that saw the Indiana Pacers steal Game 1. The Oklahoma City Thunder, this millennium’s most handsy and incessant defense, is bound to rear its insensitive head. But these Indiana Pacers, immune to double-digit deficits — and apparently double-di...

How the Pacers did it: Anatomy of a comeback

CHRISTINE TANNOUS/INDYSTAR - Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton (0) and forward Pascal Siakam (43) celebrate as they come off the court on June 5 during Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center. 7 Jun 2025 - The Indianapolis Star Pacers Insider Dustin Dopirak  Indianapolis Star USA TODAY NETWORK In four series in these NBA playoffs, the Pacers have pulled off four comebacks with a historic level of improbability. On Thursday night, they managed to win a game they trailed for 47 minutes and 59.7 seconds, never once holding an advantage until Tyrese Haliburton hit his pull-up jumper with 0.3 seconds to go to claim a 111-110 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The other comebacks the Pacers pulled off in these playoffs have been 3-5 minute blurs. This one was more of a slow-burn in which what was coming wasn’t entirely clear until Haliburton’s shot splashed. Here’s a look at the key plays that made the comeback, starting with ...

Game 1 was a gut punch. How will OKC respond?

BRYAN TERRY/THE OKLAHOMAN - Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton  and forward Aaron Nesmith (23) celebrate after Haliburton made the game-winning  basket in the final second  of Game 1 of the NBA Finals on June 5. 7 Jun 2025 - The Indianapolis Star Jenni Carlson  The Oklahoman - USA TODAY NETWORK OKLAHOMA CITY – Alex Caruso spun on a heel, untucked his jersey and headed up the tunnel. Mark Daigneault was hot on his heels. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, too. All told, it took about eight seconds for every Thunder player, coach and staffer to vacate the Paycom Center court Thursday night. Then again, why would any of them want to stick around and relish in what had just happened? Pacers 111, Thunder 110. That Indiana lead was the only Indiana lead of the night. It came, of course, on another Tyrese Haliburton gamewinner. It erased, as you know, what had been a mostly glorious return to the NBA Finals for the Thunder. “Well, it sucks,” Thunder guard Jalen Williams said. Succinct bu...

On another night when the Pacers became the first team to do this when trailing by that much with so many minutes left on the clock since when, Haliburton stared at the screen the way you do when your mind is distracted, quietly trying to process events whose magnitude is still unfolding. The more he scrolled, the more he laughed. This was, he said, even crazier than “the other ones.” No furthe...

The Pacers have never led the Oklahoma City Thunder, not for one second of this friggin’ game in that friggin’ madhouse they call Paycom Center, and this is their chance. And Carlisle doesn’t want a timeout. He’s been here before, see, and not just in these 2025 NBA Playoffs – though Lord knows, as do Cleveland and Milwaukee and New York – he’s been here before in these NBA playoffs. Carlisle was first here, so to speak, 14 years ago in Dallas. The Mavericks had ...
