Tayshaun Prince, the pride of Compton’s Dominguez High if not Muscle & Fitness magazine, is one of the NBA’s most durable and dependable players. The spindly, freckle-faced Detroit Pistons forward was the Prince of the Palace on Wednesday night in scoring a playoff career-high 29 points that kept the Pistons alive against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference finals. Prince has not sat out a game because of injury or illness for as far back as he can remember. After his rookie season three years ago, he has played in all 82 regular-season games for three seasons, as well as all of the Pistons’ 65 playoff games during that time.
