Roberto “Carube” Lencioni, la coscienza di zelo

Mi sembra giusto partire da qui.  «È nato correndo in bicicletta nella categoria quella che adesso è chiamata “Giovanissimi”. Una volta non erano Giovanissimi. Erano le prime corse sperimentali che c’erano. E io, facendo le prime quattro corse di queste qui, le ho vinte tutte e quattro. Per cui era “regolare” che, l’anno dopo, si cominciasse a correre con la leva dell’esordiente, a quel tempo».  - “Carube” è un soprannome che lei ha ereditato. Mi racconta com’è nato? Lei è nato in una famiglia di ciclismo, no?  «“Carube” è un soprannome che aveva mio papà, che aveva mio nonno. La corte dove abito – l’han costruita negli anni ‘910-’915 si chiama Corte Carube.
