Butler Bulldogs Preview @ G'Town

BUTLER (13-5, 3-2 BIG EAST) at GEORGETOWN (11-5, 3-2 BIG EAST) When: Saturday, January 17, 5 p.m. (ET) Where: Verizon Center - Washington, D.C. TV: FOX Sports 1 (Tim Brando, Bill Raftery) Radio: 1070 AM/107.5 FM (Mark Minner, Nick Gardner) CAPITAL VISIT Butler will travel to the east coast for the second time in four days when it visits Georgetown for a BIG EAST game on Saturday, Jan. 17.  The two teams will be meeting for the second time this season when they square off at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C., at 5 p.m. (ET) in a game that will be televised on FOX Sports 1.  The Bulldogs are coming off their second conference road win of the season, a 79-75 overtime victory at #21 Seton Hall on Tuesday (Jan. 13).  The win lifted Butler to 13-5 on the year and 3-2 in the BIG EAST .  The 13 wins are one shy of Butler's entire season total of a year ago , while the two conference road victories match last year's production .  Georgetown al

2015 BUTLER BULLDOGS

FIRST LOOK Butler opened fall practice in early October with a mix of optimism and enthusiasm.  The optimism came with the return of 4 starters from last season and a fifth returning starter from two years ago .  The enthusiasm was generated by 5 promising newcomers , including a pair of NCAA Division I transfers. Back from last year’s starting unit are leading scorer Kellen Dunham , leading rebounder Kameron Woods , assist and steals leader Alex Barlow and hard-working center Andrew Chrabascz . All four were in the starting lineup at the end of last season.  Also back is junior Roosevelt Jones , who started 67 consecutive games for the Bulldogs before missing last season with a wrist injury. Jones finished among Butler’s top three players in scoring, rebounding and assists in 2012-13 .  Two additional returnees are senior guard Jackson Aldridge and sophomore Steven Bennett , both letterwinners a year ago.  Joining the returning players are transfers Austin Etherington
