RUBBER MATCH: 
Butler willl close out the home portion of its 2014-15 schedule when it faces Georgetown for the third time this season on Tuesday, March 3. 
The key BIG EAST contest at Hinkle Fieldhouse is slated to tip at 7 p.m. (ET) and will be televised on FOX Sports 1. 
Butler and Georgetown split the first 2 meetings this year, with the Bulldogs taking a 64-58 decision at the Battle 4 Atlantis and the Hoyas winning the first conference meeting, 61-59, on a three-point field goal by freshman Isaac Copeland in the closing seconds. 
The Bulldogs, who have won 8 of 10 games since the loss to Georgetown, improved to 21-8 on the season and 11-5 in the BIG EAST with a 67-53 victory at DePaul on Saturday. That win, coupled with Georgetown's 81-70 loss at St. John's, moved Butler into sole possession of second place in the conference standings, one game ahead of the Hoyas (18-9, 10-6 BIG EAST) and Providence. The Bulldogs will close out the regular season at Providence on Saturday (March 7), while Georgetown will host Seton Hall in its regular season finale.
Butler has tied the 17th-highest single season win total (21) in school history.

FIELDHOUSE FACTS: 
Butler sits at 13-2 in Hinkle Fieldhouse this season. The Bulldogs have posted a winning record at home in 25 consecutive seasons (including this year) and have at least 10 wins at home in 19 of the last 20 campaigns. Butler's current seniors are 48-17 at home.
Butler is 247-43 in Hinkle Fieldhouse since the start of the 1995-96 season.

POLLING DATA: 
Butler climbed 2 spots in the national polls, following last week's back-to-back wins. The Bulldogs enter this week's action with a No. 21 national ranking in both the Associated Press National Poll and the USA Today Coaches Poll. 
Butler, which began the season without a mention in either national poll, has been receiving votes or ranked in the "Top 25" in 13 of the past 14 weeks.

Butler stormed back from a 6-point deficit early in the second half with a 30-5 run and went on to post a 67-53 win at DePaul. The Bulldogs, who led by 10 points on 2 occasions in the first half and 29-24 at halftime, fell behind when DePaul opened the second half with a 9-0 run. The Blue Demons stretched the lead to 38-32 before Butler unleashed its decisive run. Guard Kellen Dunham tied the game at 41-41 with a three-point field goal, and senior Kameron Woods followed with a pair of free throws to put the Bulldogs in front for good. Dunham scored ten of his game-high 24 points during they key second-half run, while junior Roosevelt Jones chipped in with 8 of the 30 points.

LEAGUE HONOR: 
Junior Kellen Dunham, who averaged 23.0 points in Butler's two wins last week, was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the fifth time this season. Dunham shot 56% (14-25) from the field, 60% (6-10) from 3-point range and 100% (12-12) from the free throw line in the 2 games. The 6-6 guard led all players at DePaul with 24 points, hitting 6 of 11 shots from the floor and 10 of 10 attempts from the free throw line. Dunham has led the Bulldogs in scoring in 6 of the past 7 games and in 16 total games this season.
Kellen Dunham is currently ranked third in the BIG EAST in scoring (17.0).

TOTAL PERFORMANCE: 
Junior Roosevelt Jones had a busy afternoon at DePaul, finishing with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. It was the sixth time in the past 7 games that the 6-4 guard has scored in double-figures. Jones became the 37th Butler player to join the 1,000-Point Club in the Bulldogs' home win over Marquette last week, and he enters the Georgetown game with 1,021 career points. He's 2 points behind J. P. Brens (1989-93) in 35th place on Butler's all-time scoring list and 7 points away from Dave Bennett (1968-71) in the No. 34 spot.

TOP THREE: 
Senior Kameron Woods shared the team lead with 6 rebounds at DePaul and in the process moved into sole possession of third place on Butler's all-time rebounding chart. His effort boosted his career rebounding total to 890 and moved him ahead of Matt Howard (2007-11) on the all-time list. Woods has led the Bulldogs in rebounding in 13 of the past 15 games and in 22 games overall this season. The 6-9 forward, who led the BIG EAST in rebounding in 2013-14, needs 10 caroms to become just the third player in Butler history to record 900 career rebounds.

SHORT-HANDED: 
Butler has played its last 4 games without starting forward Andrew Chrabascz, who suffered a broken bone in his right hand during a loose ball scramble in Butler's home loss to Villanova. Chrabascz had surgery on his right hand in Indianapolis on Feb. 16 and began a 2-to-4 week rehab period. The 6-7 forward is Butler's third-leading scorer on the season, and he averaged 17.8 points during the Bulldogs' five-game winning streak just prior to his injury. He started Butler's first 25 games.

ALL-TIME WATCH: 
Guard Kellen Dunham, enters this weekend's action in 18th place on Butler's all-time scoring list. The 6-6 junior, who scored his 1,000th career point at Tennessee just before Christmas, boosted his career scoring total to 1,343 points in Butler's victory at DePaul. He trails former teammate Khyle Marshall (2010-14) in 17th on the all-time scoring list by 30 points.

SMART CHOICE: 
Senior Alex Barlow was one of 15 NCAA Division I basketball players named to the 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-America Team, announced on Thursday, Feb. 26. The Butler point-guard was chosen second team on the national honor squad. He's the eighth player in Butler basketball history to earn Academic All-America recognition, joining Andrew Smith (2013), Ronald Nored (2012), Matt Howard (2009, 2010, 2011), Gordon Hayward (2010), A. J. Graves (2007, 2008), Drew Streicher (2008) and Chris Miskel (1995). Barlow is the reigning BIG EAST Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
