#10 Johan Mina (Ecuador)

#10 Johan Mina (Ecuador)

Club: Emelec
Position: Forward
Born: 15 May 2002

Because of a contract dispute Mina has not played any club football in nearly two years, having fallen out with Emelec over his refusal to commit his long-term future to the club, but he has continued to represent his country and was top scorer at the South American Under-17 Championships in Peru in March and April.

He is still not under contract, and is expected to move abroad once he turns 18 in February - his agent, Klinton Tenorio, revealed this year that Chelsea are “one of the teams who are constantly asking about him”.

A fine dribbler with a strong, left-footed shot, he scored 40 goals in 26 games for the under-14s in 2016.

Mina’s father, Joaquin, won a league title with Emelec in 1993
