2013-14 OVERVIEW: Appeared in 30 games as a reserve after missing the first four games due to a broken bone in his right (shooting) wrist... Provided an immediate backcourt boost after re-joining the lineup on Thanksgiving Day against USC, scoring 14 points... Averaged 5.1 points and 1.7 rebounds per outing in his first year of action for the Wildcats.

2013-14 NCAA TOURNAMENT: Appeared in both of Villanova’s NCAA Tournament games, scoring two points and collecting two rebounds.

Averaged 4.0 points and 1.2 assists per outing in 18 league games... Supplied 11 points and two rebounds in a 101-80 loss at Creighton on Feb. 16... Chipped in with nine points and four assists in an 81-58 win over Xavier on Feb. 3... Provided a boost with 10 points, three rebounds and two assists in a 90-74 win at Temple on Feb. 1... Delivered a season-high 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field in a 91-61 win over Providence on Jan. 5.

2013-14 NON-CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS:

Chipped in with six points, four rebounds and two assists in an 88-67 win over Rider on Dec. 21... Recorded a season high seven assists with zero turnovers to go with five points and five rebounds in a 73-52 win over La Salle... Notched 11 points, five rebounds, and five assists in 24 minutes of a Dec. 4 win over Penn... Contributed eight points and four rebounds in 23 minutes to help VU overcome No. 23 Iowa 88-83 in overtime on Nov. 30... Suffered a fractured third metacarpal bone in his right hand in practice on Oct. 24. Cleared to resume all basketball activities on Nov. 22... Returned to action in style, draining 4-of-5 from the field on his way to 14 points in a 94-79 win over USC on Nov. 28... Matched that work with 14 points in win over No. 2 Kansas.

2012-13 OVERVIEW: Sat out the season as a red-shirt per NCAA rules... Suffered a torn MCL in his right knee in late December that sidelined him until Jan. 14, when he resumed practice.

2011-12 OVERVI EW: Named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team for a rookie season in which he set a school freshman record for assists (144) while averaging 8.5 points to go along with 37 steals and 21 blocks... Shattered the Rice freshman class record for assists previously set by James Simmons in 1975 (114)... Ranked second on the team with 151 rebounds and averaged 4.3 boards per game.

2011-12 CONFERENCE USA REGULAR SEASON:

Point guard’s 21 blocks ranked third on the squad in Conference USA play, dished out 72 assists in 16 games for a 4.5 pergame average, fourth in the league... Named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week twice... First honor came after averaging 10.5 points and 3.0 assists in wins over Southland and Maryland-Eastern Shore... Second Freshman of the Week recognition came after averaging 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds during a 1-1 week against two of the league’s top four teams, UCF and Southern Miss... During the week shot 65 percent from the field and made 7-of-11 three-pointers (63.6 percent). Scored eight points on 3-for-6 shooting in final game of the South Padre Island Invitational against Iowa State... Had six assists for the second straight game in the C-USA opener against Marshall... Then equaled the mark in a road win at SMU... Also scored six points, had six rebounds and a block as the Owls won in the DFW Metroplex for the first time since 2007... Helped send UAB game to overtime with a steal and fastbreak layup which tied the game at 51-51... Beat the horn with a 38-foot shot to end the first half of the Owls’ game at Tulsa... Three-pointer with 13:18 to play against UCF gave Rice its first lead since early in the game as the Owls charged back from a 15-point, first-period deficit... Scored a team-high 15 points, had five assists and just one turnover against UCF... Registered an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double at Southern Miss... 2011-12 POST-SEASON: 

Tied a career high with 11 assists in the Owls’ Conference USA Men’s Basketball Championship game against East Carolina... Scored four points on 2-for-3 shooting against ECU... Led Rice with a 13.7 ppg average in three games in the CIT.

2011-12 HIGHLIGHTS: 

In first career start at Houston Baptist, had eight rebounds and five assists... Matched a then, scoring high with 14 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists and two steals against St. Thomas... Was 4-for-9 from the field and made 6-of-7 free throws... Scored in double figures for the second straight games and fell just a rebound shy of his first double-double in the Owls’ win over Louisiana College... Was 6-for-10 from the field and scored 16 points... Also had three assists and a steal... Along with nine rebounds, scored six points and had four assists in the Owls’ win over Texas A&M... Scored six points and... Scored 12 points and had five assists in win over A&M-Corpus Christi... on the road at TCU scored 18 points and had six assists... Was 6-for-8 from the field, knocking down both of his three-point attempts... Scored 10 points and had five rebounds in the Owls’ win over Louisiana-Lafayette in the first round of the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament... Team MVP was an all-area selection as well as ranked among the Top 20 players in Illinois... ranked as one of the Top 30 point guards in the country by ESPN... as a senior, averaged 23 points, seven assists, eight rebounds, three steals and a block... in a game against Culver Academy, scored a career-high 41 of the team’s 51 points... helped lead the Caxys to a 21-4 record... high school team was coached by Matt Vaughn... was also named Lake Forest Academy’s team MVP following a junior season in which he averaged 20 points, four assists and a steal... in an effort to send Lake Forest’s seniors out on a strong note, nailed seven three-pointers in the final home game of the year... also attended Wings Academy in Bronx, N.Y., where he was coached by Billy Turnage... additionally, played organized/team soccer for eight years and also played one year of high school football.

Older brother Brandon played basketball at District of Columbia while younger brother Tyler starred at Syracuse before being drafted by the NBA’s Phoenix Suns in 2014... Has three younger siblings: Brittany, Dominique, and Tyylon.
