2013-14 OVERVIEW: Appeared in 30 games as a reserve after missing the first four games due to a broken bone in his right (shooting) wrist... Provided an immediate backcourt boost after re-joining the lineup on Thanksgiving Day against USC, scoring 14 points... Shattered the Rice freshman class record for assists previously set by James Simmons in 1975 (114)... Ranked second on the team with 151 rebounds and averaged 4.3 boards per game.
2011-12 CONFERENCE USA REGULAR SEASON:
Point guard’s 21 blocks ranked third on the squad in Conference USA play, dished out 72 assists in 16 games for a 4.5 pergame average, fourth in the league... Named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week twice... First honor came after averaging 10.5 points and 3.0 assists in wins over Southland and Maryland-Eastern Shore... Second Freshman of the Week recognition came after averaging 16.5 points and 7.5 rebounds during a 1-1 week against two of the league’s top four teams, UCF and Southern Miss... During the week shot 65 percent from the field and made 7-of-11 three-pointers (63.6 percent). Older brother Brandon played basketball at District of Columbia while younger brother Tyler starred at Syracuse before being drafted by the NBA’s Phoenix Suns in 2014... Has three younger siblings: Brittany, Dominique, and Tyylon.
