The Skinny:
Tennessee spent much of its two-week break between games focusing on improved defense. That work will be tested as the Vols face No. 18 Butler, which boasts the nation's No. 2 scoring offense at 91.4 points per game.
The Bulldogs broke four school records when they beat The Citadel 144-71 on Nov. 14 at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
"That will help you," Vols coach Rick Barnes joked on Thursday. "That will help the numbers."
Dunham scored 22 of his 24 points against The Citadel in the first half, helping Butler score 71 before the break. Jones had 18 points and 11 rebounds.
"They will present a lot of problems because they do so much on the offensive end," Barnes said. "They really do a great job of reading what you're doing with them."
Butler, which ousted coach Barnes and his Texas Longhorns in the NCAA tournament round of 64 last season, lost 85-75 at Miami on Nov. 22 for its lone loss this season.
Tennessee beat Butler 67-55 in Knoxville last December.
"They've got guys back," Barnes said. "They're really cohesive in what they're trying to get done and they're capable of scoring the ball."
