A big, strong central defender from Brierley Hill, Danny Batth was one of the 7 Academy graduates to sign professional terms at the end of the 2008/09 season.
He possesses good defensive qualities and an excellent attitude and has featured regularly in the Wolves reserve side.
Batth overcame a bad shoulder injury while in the Academy to become a key figure at youth level and has been at the club since he was 10 years old.
He enjoyed his first taste of senior football after joining Colchester on loan in September, 2009, with the club remaining unbeaten in his first 7 appearances.
In total he made 18 appearances for the U's, 17 of them starts, and scored one goal.
On returning to Molineux he was named Young Professional Of The Year at Wolves' End of Season dinner.
Some impressive pre-season form for the Development Squad ahead of the 2010/11 campaign saw him make a senior start in the 4-0 friendly win at Walsall.
And this was followed up by a competitive debut in the Carling Cup Second Round tie with Southend in August, 2010, which Wolves won 2-1 after extra time, Batth playing the entire match.
After a short loan spell with Sheffield United, making just 1 substitute's appearance, Batth then spent the final stages of the 2010/11 season on the other side of the Steel City with Sheffield Wednesday, and earned some rave reviews in his 10 appearances.
More was to follow for Batth with the Owls as a second loan spell saw him almost an ever-present in the League One promotion success of 2011/12.
Batth then returned to Molineux, but only for sporadic opportunities in the 2012/13 season, and it was over the following two campaigns that he really rose to the fore at senior level.
Batth was a league ever-present as Wolves stormed to the League One title, and fell only 2 games short of doing the same as he settled in seamlessly at Championship level, denied only by injury.
A proud captain for the majority of that season, Batth then underwent surgery on the foot injury and spent the summer of 2015 on his rehabilitation aiming to come back stronger.
