Posted 5th January 2015 at 11:28 am Blues initially signed experienced Charlton Athletic defender Michael Morrison on a 2-month emergency loan deal on 31 October 2014.

But following a string of impressive performances, the deal was made permanent in January 2015 when Morrison put pen-to-paper on a 3-and-a-half year contract.

Morrison predominantly plays as a centre-half, but he can also slot in at full-back if required.

He began his caerer as a trainee at Cambridge United. He later moved onto Leicester City and Sheffield Wednesday, before making the switch to Charlton in 2011. He was an almost ever-present in his first 3 seasons with the Addicks, missing just 4 league games.

His performances during his debut campaign at the Valley earned him a place in the PFA's divisional team of the year as his side romped to the League One title. He continued to be a mainstay of the Addicks defence during the next 2 seasons in the Championship and sealed third place in the club's Player of the Year awards at the end of the 2013/14 season.
