Oubre could still play himself into the Top 10 in workouts, but is a candidate to slip into the mid-late teens. He struggled coming out of the gates, but recovered nicely as the season progressed. He has an excellent frame (7-foot-2 wingspan) for a wing and shows above average athleticism and outside shooting ability. He still must become a more disciplined decision maker and defender. He also should work on his ability to create shots and developing a midrange game. His attitude gets criticized, and it remains to be seen if he really is a team player at heart. He does show some solid potential as a defender, but generally gets knocked for his lack of intensity and effort on the defensive end by scouts.

Kelly Oubre dropped 25 points against TCU in Kansas’ Big 12 Tournament opener, but his production tailed off from there. The 19-year-old scored just 29 points in the Jayhawks’ final four postseason games combined, shooting 9-for-25 (36.0 percent) from the field. However, the 6-foot-7 Oubre has previously displayed the ability to get hot, as he averaged 15.6 points in his five prior contests.
